Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our team in Newport News, VA. This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive salary of $38.00-$45.00 per hour.

About the Role

As a Structural Welder, you will be responsible for performing welding tasks on naval bases and shipyards. You will work closely with our team to ensure high-quality results and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Perform multi-pass fillet and butt welds using SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW processes.
  • Operate heating equipment, including oxygen/propane heating torches.
  • Work in a physically demanding environment, including shipboard and sub-assembly areas.
  • Familiarize yourself with OSHA regulations relevant to the shipbuilding industry.
  • Develop proficiency in air carbon arc gouging.
Requirements
  • Meet OSHA and NAVSEA standards.
  • Hold at least 5 years of experience in structural welding.
  • Possess own hood, leathers, and hand tools.
  • Read and interpret welding symbols, prints, drawings, and prints.
