Job Title: Special Education Teacher

We are seeking an exceptional Special Education Teacher to join our team at Paris Elementary School in Paris, ME. As a Special Education Teacher, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with special needs.

About the Role:
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of students with special needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to integrate special education services into the classroom.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with special needs in a variety of settings, including the general education classroom and specialized settings.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education.

Requirements:
  • Valid Maine certification in Special Education (282) or the ability to obtain one with appropriate endorsement(s).
