Overview
The Aviation Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role as a skilled mechanic specializing in the upkeep and repair of fixed-wing aircraft. This position is responsible for conducting inspections, maintenance, and modifications on a fleet of single and light multi-engine piston aircraft within the maintenance facility.

Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Executing the duties of a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Certificated Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic.
  • Testing, diagnosing, removing, installing, aligning, and adjusting the oil, fuel, hydraulic, and electrical systems of aircraft.
  • Inspecting, installing, replacing, and repairing airframes, engines, propellers, appliances, and other components as required.
  • Carrying out all aspects of aircraft structural repair and modification, including sheet metal, wood, steel tubing, and composite structures.
  • Conducting thorough 100-hour and annual inspections in compliance with manufacturer, FAA, and agency standards to assess aircraft condition and airworthiness.
  • Troubleshooting, checking, and repairing aircraft systems and associated mechanisms through the use of test equipment.
  • Identifying and rectifying electrical issues in various aircraft systems.

Qualifications
Applicants must fulfill all qualifications and eligibility criteria by the closing date of the announcement, including specialized experience and/or education as outlined below.

This position has a selective factor; all candidates must have completed the necessary training and obtained their FAA Certificated Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic certificate.

To qualify, candidates must demonstrate that they possess training and experience of sufficient scope and quality to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the duties of the position.
