Champion Partners In Rehab is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality physical therapy services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients referred to Physical Therapy to determine their current physical and functional status, and assess their potential benefit from physical therapy services.
- Plan and conduct a therapy program for patients referred to Physical Therapy, which may include the use of exercise, massage, thermal agents, water, light, and/or electricity.
- Apply diagnostic and prognostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests, and direct and aid patients in active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, and gait and functional training.
- Use equipment such as muscle and nerve stimulators, ultrasound machines, and other therapeutic electrical machines, and give whirlpool and contrast baths and apply moist heat and cold packs.
- Direct patients in the care and use of wheelchairs, braces, canes, crutches, walkers, and prosthetic and orthopedic devices, and give instruction in posture control and therapeutic procedures to be continued by the patient.
- Adapt conventional physical therapy techniques to meet the needs of patients unable to comprehend verbal commands or voluntarily carry out a regime of therapeutic exercises, and observe, record, and report patient's condition, reactions, and responses.
- Direct and supervise activities of supportive personnel, conduct and participate in training of Physical Therapy Technicians and Physical-Therapist Assistants in physical therapy techniques and objectives, and provide a safe and clean Physical Therapy Department.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- A minimum level of B.S. degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution offering training in this specialty.
- One year experience preferred, recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- COVID vaccination is preferred for this position, however, an exemption will be entertained.
- Must be licensed by the Alabama State of Physical Therapy.
