Job Overview

The Senior Implementation Manager will provide technical and support services to Enterprise Risk Projects, ensuring successful execution of project deliverables with quality, safety, on schedule, within budget, and in the most effective manner possible.

This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical disciplines, construction, and project management principles, as well as experience with Enterprise Management Software, logic-driven schedules, and code and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical review of key project documentation to identify strategies for improving schedule performance, quality, and resource efficiency.
  • Quality Control Inspections & Hold Points, Test & Commissioning Plans, Clearance Orders & Turnover Strategy, Materials, Tools & Specialty Tooling, Resource Load Boards.
  • Validation of Work Order Tasks (WOT) associated with assigned scope prior to field activities and IAW Columbia work management processes.
  • Remediation of identified WOTs that lack quality, contain incorrect references, introduce error traps, and/or contain poorly written instructions.
  • Review, comment, and provide improvements to testing and/or acceptance plans.
  • Identification of activities and/or processes that would benefit from a mock-up and provision of input and guidance on making said mock-ups effective and impactful.
  • Communication of personal Operating Experience and identification of industry and/or similar Operating Experiences associated with project activities.
  • Development of response strategies for each Operating Experience example.
  • ASME PIC for Section XI Repair & Replacement Plan work scope as needed.
Requirements
  • Advanced degree in a related field of study or business AND 10 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, and/or regulated industrial environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study or business AND 12 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, and/or regulated industrial environment.
  • Associate's degree from an accredited college or university AND 14 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, and/or regulated industrial environment.
  • High School Diploma/GED AND 16 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, and/or regulated industrial environment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Proven experience in construction management.
  • Proven experience in multiple refueling outages at a commercial nuclear powerplant.
  • Proven experience with the production and operational processes at a commercial nuclear powerplant.
  • Proven experience with feedwater heaters and internals of feedwater heaters.
  • Proven experience with steam systems and/or work associated with ASME Boiler Pressure Vessel code vessels, heat exchangers, piping, and valves.
Preferred Skills
  • Skilled in Enterprise Management Software (Asset Suite, SAP, etc.).
  • Intimately familiar with logic-driven schedules (generated by Primavera and/or Microsoft Project).
  • Code and regulatory requirements as they relate to maintenance and field work activities.
  • Error reduction and human performance improvement methods, and cost-effective work execution methodologies.
  • Procedures and processes related to maintenance and engineering activities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Computer Skills.
