About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at JLL. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch maintenance and repair services to our buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine repair, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various components of the physical structure of the buildings.
  • Prepare, prime, and paint building interior and exterior surfaces and perform general handyman tasks to maintain buildings.
  • Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, furniture, and controllers.
  • Assist with maintaining and repairing plumbing components, including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumps.
  • Remove and reinstall fixtures, such as doorknobs and electric switch covers, as necessary.
  • Communicate with clients to determine their painting requirements and help them make informed decisions for their projects.
  • Cover trim, floors, furniture, and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths, and other protective coverings to keep them free of paint.
  • Prepare surfaces to be painted by washing them, filling holes and cracks with putty, and sanding them until they're smooth.
  • Mix and match paint, stain, and other finishes to job specifications.
  • Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to paint surfaces using paintbrushes, rollers, or sprayers.
  • Review and implement work orders and assignments.
  • Complete tasks that include but are not limited to; customer service requests, preventative and general maintenance as assigned.
  • Follow safeguards, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and electrical work.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficient in safely performing overhead work while standing on ladders.
  • Capable of regularly walking, bending, stooping, crouching, crawling, lifting, pushing, pulling, etc. to test and perform maintenance tasks.
Compensation

The estimated compensation for this position is $54,400.00 USD per year, including bonus, if applicable.
