Job Title: Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery Specialist

Job Summary:

DT-Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery Specialist to join our team. As a Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a Labor and Delivery setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and care for patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including those with high-risk pregnancies and those requiring emergency medical attention.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, including Pitocin, misoprostol, methergine, and others.
  • Monitor fetal heart rates and respond to any changes or abnormalities.
  • Assist with labor and delivery, including preparing patients for safe delivery and administering medications as needed.
  • Provide postpartum care to new mothers and their newborns, including administering medications, performing laboratory draws, and providing wound care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and technologies.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery or a related field.
  • Active RN license in the state of New Mexico or a compact state.
  • Current BLS, NRP, and AWHONN intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring certifications.
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
