Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Worker/Cashier to join our team at Chartwells K12. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and ensuring the highest quality food products are served to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cashiering duties, including handling cash and credit transactions, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages to students, ensuring that all food is handled and served safely and in accordance with company standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the dining room, kitchen, and storage areas.
  • Restock supplies and equipment as needed, and ensure that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Interact with students, parents, and staff in a friendly and professional manner, responding to customer complaints and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including participating in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a food service or customer service role is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
