Position: Production Operator

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Reporting To: Production Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

The Production Operator is tasked with a variety of essential functions, including but not limited to:

Manufacturing Duties:
  • Accurately measure and prepare ingredients for production according to batch records.
  • Load materials onto production machinery.
  • Set up and operate various manufacturing equipment, including blenders and granulators.
  • Organize and prepare utensils for the manufacturing process.
  • Arrange products on trays for drying processes.
  • Assist in the milling of products as required.
Cleaning Responsibilities:
  • Ensure equipment is cleaned before and after use.
  • Maintain cleanliness in manufacturing areas and storage facilities.
Packaging and Labeling:
  • Weigh and package finished goods.
  • Apply appropriate labels to packaged products.
Procedural Compliance:
  • Adhere to written standard operating procedures throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Follow hygiene and safety protocols as outlined in procedures.
  • Document cleaning activities on equipment logs.
Additional Duties:
  • Operate a forklift as needed.
  • Prepare trays and packaging materials.
  • Manage waste disposal on the premises.
  • Cross-train for backup roles in warehouse operations.

Note: Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma is required; an associate's or trade degree is advantageous. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary. Forklift certification is preferred. Candidates should have 1-3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting. The role requires self-motivation and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team. Comfort with forklift operation is essential.
