Position Overview
The Infusion Systems Sales Specialist plays a crucial role in achieving and surpassing annual sales objectives by fostering and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, including Hospital Administration, Clinical Management, Technical Management, and Pharmacy. This position is integral to driving business growth and expanding the ICU Medical Infusion Systems portfolio, which includes advanced products such as Plum360, CADD, Medfusion, MedNet, and Pharmguard drug error reduction software.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed annual sales goals for the entire Infusion Systems product line.
- Develop tailored account sales strategies for Infusion Systems in collaboration with the Area Manager.
- Create a comprehensive territory business plan that outlines growth targets, key account strategies, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Maintain and enhance the Infusion Systems opportunity pipeline to support unique account strategies.
- Oversee the management of RFPs and contracts related to Infusion Systems, leveraging resources to maximize business opportunities.
- Track product usage in key hospitals to identify sales opportunities and optimize performance.
- Ensure effective coordination and execution of planned implementations.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities.
- Utilize various resources, including scientific literature and case studies, to support sales efforts.
- Deliver executive-level presentations on clinical concepts and the ICU Medical Infusion Systems product line.
- Maintain a deep understanding of competing products and position ICU Medical's offerings effectively.
- Conduct product trials and manage the implementation of all Infusion Systems products.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Self-driven, enthusiastic, and capable of working independently.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.
- Proficient in simplifying complex concepts for effective communication.
- Strong negotiation and organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Solid business acumen and financial understanding.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Education and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required, preferably in nursing, business, or technology.
- An MBA or MHA is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical sales, particularly in capital equipment, medical devices, or software within a hospital setting.
- A proven track record of meeting sales targets and developing strong customer relationships.
- Experience in a collaborative team environment.
Additional Information
This position is primarily field-based, requiring travel and compliance with credentialing requirements. The role involves working in various environments, including home offices and customer locations. A valid driver's license is necessary for this position.
As part of ongoing product safety monitoring, the specialist will report any product complaints or adverse events to the appropriate safety groups promptly.
