Job Summary

The Naperville Public Library is looking for a dedicated Library Facilities Caretaker to join its team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, care, and upkeep of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Performs routine and periodic facility, grounds, parking lot, custodial, and maintenance activities, including seasonal grounds keeping, snow removal, and other duties to maintain safety and appearance.
  • Building Maintenance: Performs routine building repairs like plumbing, carpentry, painting, heating/ventilation, air conditioning, and masonry across multiple library facilities.
  • Inspections and Cleaning: Responsible for routine cleaning and care for facilities, inspecting and cleaning meeting spaces, restrooms, common areas, and grounds.

Work Schedule: Tuesday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Wednesday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Thursday 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM, Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Saturday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
