About the Role
Queen's Health System is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Specialist to join our team on the Big Island. This is a call-in, varied shifts position that requires flexibility and adaptability.
Responsibilities
We are looking for an individual who can perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain assigned areas of Queen's North Hawaii Community Hospital (QNHCH).
Typical Physical Demands
The successful candidate will be able to push and pull up to 20 pounds of force, see, hear, stand, walk, bend, stoop, forward and overhead reach, grasp, push and pull 25 to 50 pounds of force, lift floor to knuckle, knuckle to shoulder 40 pounds, shoulder to overhead 20 pounds, talk, squat, twist, handle, finger, and statically grip objects for prolonged periods.
Typical Working Conditions
This role involves working in both inside and outside environmental conditions, with potential exposure to hazardous chemicals and materials, communicable diseases, and body fluids. The ability to navigate stairs, ramps, and uneven ground, as well as work in small, confined spaces, is essential.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent education, prior experience as a housekeeper, and the ability to speak, read, write, and understand English both orally and in writing.
Estimated Salary
$42,000 - $52,000 per year, depending on experience.
