Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Custodian 2 to join our team at the Louisiana State Gov. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of custodians and other employees, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Assist in the orientation of new employees, including training on equipment and procedures.
  • Order supplies and maintain inventory levels to ensure efficient operations.
  • Manage time and attendance records, as well as make work assignments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Wash laboratory glassware by hand or using an automated washer, and mix or blend cleaning solutions to proper concentrations.
  • Sterilize glass and instruments to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in custodial services or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
