Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team at Thompson Aerospace LLC. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in setting up and operating multi-axis CNC Swiss machines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate multi-axis CNC Swiss machines
• Work with blueprints, operation sheets, and other instructions
• Load material, deburr, and inspect parts for conformance to print requirements
• Communicate with supervisor, engineers, quality, and other shop personnel to resolve machining or quality issues
• Perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe working environment

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• Must be able to set up, optimize feed & speeds, operate, and troubleshoot
• Familiarity with Mitsubishi & Fanuc controls
• Experience independently programming CNC Swiss machines a plus but not required
• Experience working with Inconel and A-286 materials a plus
• Experience utilizing standard gauges and inspection techniques including documentation
• Experience selecting, setting, and changing tools
• Experience with inspection documentation a plus
• Experience in manufacturing aerospace threaded components and/or other close tolerance parts a plus
