Position SummaryWe are currently seeking an Aerial Ground Hand to support our operations. This role involves the installation and maintenance of aerial cable television (CTV) systems, including coaxial and fiber optic cables. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the placement, relocation, and removal of poles, lines, and other necessary equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Install and repair aerial cable television (CTV) systems, including both coaxial and fiber optic cables.
- Manage the placement, relocation, and removal of poles, lines, and drops to ensure optimal functionality of customer facilities.
- Establish safety perimeters using appropriate signage and barriers.
- Direct traffic in compliance with local Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations as required.
- Perform additional tasks, including underground work, as necessary.
- Commit to delivering exceptional customer service consistently.
- Complete other assigned duties as needed.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in aerial fiber optic installation or telecommunications construction.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations.
- Familiarity with NESC (National Electrical Safety Commission) safety standards.
- Capability to safely climb poles using appropriate climbing gear.
- Willingness to travel daily and adapt to various work schedules, including on-call duties during evenings and weekends.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Physical capability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs consistently.
- Proficient in handling small components and wires.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various terrains and elevated positions, with significant time spent standing, bending, reaching, and climbing.
- Valid driver's license and successful completion of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen).
