Huntsville Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team. As a CRNA, you will be responsible for providing anesthesia care to patients undergoing various medical procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide anesthesia care to patients in a variety of settings, including surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement anesthesia plans.
- Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and assessments to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Administer anesthesia medications and monitor patients' responses to ensure safe and effective care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
Requirements:
- Current active state licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Alabama or a compact state RN License.
- Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.
- Current certification or recertification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
- Ability to perform clinically as a nurse anesthetist in the facility setting on a regular basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced life support certifications, such as ACLS and PALS.
- Experience working in a hospital setting, preferably in a perioperative or operating room environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals.
