Position Overview:

The role of a host or hostess at Land's End Management Corporation involves providing a warm and inviting atmosphere for all patrons while efficiently managing seating arrangements. This position requires a strong focus on customer service and collaboration with the dining staff to ensure a seamless dining experience. Effective communication with team members and adherence to the guidance of the restaurant management are critical components of this role.

Core Responsibilities:

• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress code standards
• Handle incoming phone inquiries and manage reservation bookings
• Work in conjunction with servers and notify management of any staffing concerns
• Ensure timely seating of guests while addressing their needs
• Assist in arranging special table configurations as necessary
• Observe dining room conditions and report any discrepancies to management
• Oversee guest reservations and coordinate with the expediter
• Support service standards and assist team members as required
• Efficiently manage To-Go orders

Additional Responsibilities:

• Uphold the cleanliness and presentation of the entryway and host station
• Coordinate dining room staff based on guest traffic
• Ensure the overall condition of the dining area is maintained
• Perform additional tasks as directed by management

Qualifications:

• Experience in high-volume dining environments is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
