Job Title: Software Specialist

At TriTech Software & Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our product development team, you will play a crucial role in researching, developing, testing, and maintaining state and local premium tax returns in multiple tax software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop state and local premium tax returns and supplemental forms using proprietary development tools in conjunction with Java, Kotlin, and IntelliJ.
  • Research and analyze tax returns changes as necessary, and implement updates to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Test changes to the software before development and production builds are created, ensuring high-quality and accuracy.
  • Provide exceptional product support, including phone and email support, while maintaining a professional and lasting relationship with customers.
  • Maintain state-specific documentation for tax laws, tax positions, and standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with state taxing authorities to stay up-to-date on tax returns and legislative developments.
  • Contribute to the enhancement and improvement of the software and department-specific processes, providing suggestions and ideas for growth.
  • Meet deadlines and commitments, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of tax principles or experience with financial applications is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and IntelliJ is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
  • Strong work ethic, with a focus on attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities.
  • Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
