Security Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at AEG. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of our facilities, employees, and guests.
Key Responsibilities- Access Control and Security Protocols: Regulate and control access to restricted and secure areas, including event-level, receiving dock, locker rooms, and other sensitive areas.
- Alarm Response and Emergency Situations: Monitor, patrol, and respond to alarms and emergency situations inside and outside the facility, providing quick, professional, and effective response in security and/or safety-related situations.
- Guest Interaction and Information Provision: Serve and interact with guests attending events, providing information and direction to inquiries from the public or facility employees.
- Communication and Reporting: Complete effective communication, both verbally and written, in situations where reports are generated or direction is needed, preparing effective incident/accident reports.
- Problem-Solving and Safety Awareness: Consistently and appropriately problem-solve, identify, diagnose, and resolve safety concerns, effectively generating safety awareness and training, and identifying and enforcing guidelines to reduce unsafe practices.
- Experience and Education: A minimum of 1-year experience in the security field, High School Diploma or equivalent, and obtain and maintain a Level 2 Security License and Certification required while in position.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to run the security team in the absence of their lead, experience or demonstrated ability to run the security screening team at employee entrance during events, ability to lift and carry 25 plus pounds as needed, and ability to work long hours, flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods in extreme conditions for the duration of assigned shift, ability to work at both the facility and outdoor events in hot, cold, wet, or windy conditions throughout the duration of the shift, and ability to ascend/descend multiple flights of stairs in an arena and outdoor stadium setting throughout the duration of the shift.
- Experience in the Entertainment Industry: 1 year of experience in the entertainment industry, CPR Certification/Basic First Aid preferred, and knowledge of law enforcement or experience in the entertainment industry, security, military, or law enforcement preferred.
