Job Title: Clinic Nurse

At Great Plains Health, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinic Nurse to join our team.

Job Summary

The Clinic Nurse is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a positive experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care
    • Ensure quality patient care and adhere to provider preferences for their patients.
    • Explain procedures, treatments, and reinforce provider recommendations to patients using the AIDET process.
  • Medication Management
    • Provide prescribed sample medications in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
    • Administer injections/immunizations as prescribed by providers.
  • Electronic Health Records
    • Use EHR to record visit, medication(s), and entry of patient information such as vital signs, ROS, medication lists, family, and social history accurately.
    • Provide point-of-care testing and record test results, reports, and other procedural documentation in patient charts.
  • Sample Medication Management
    • Maintain sample medications by logging their receipt.
    • Document sample medications in patient charts.
  • Communication
    • Communicate clinical data test/procedure results accurately to the healthcare team.
    • Initiate a patient education plan as prescribed by physician or clinic policy.
    • Communicate and instruct plan of care to patient/family/guardians.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Complete and document patient phone calls in patient charts.
    • Assist with office procedures as requested by physician.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Must possess a current, valid LPN or RN license in the state of practice.
    • BLS certification is required.
  • Physical Demands
    • Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently.
    • Possess physical agility and adequate reaction time to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected patient care needs.
