VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at Chippewa Correctional Facility in Kincheloe, Michigan. As a Psychiatrist with our organization, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality psychiatric services to inmates, while also contributing to the development of our Behavioral Health Unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide diagnostic evaluation and treatment to patients, as well as psychiatric consultation, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Provide clinical direction, general supervision, and training to site staff.
  • Approve, sign, and monitor the implementation and efficiency of treatment plans.
  • Develop discharge plans to ensure appropriate follow-up and support after discharge from the facility.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of medical school and completion of an appropriate psychiatric residency.
  • Licensed to practice in the state of South Carolina and certified by the Office of Behavioral Health to provide psychiatric services in a licensed inpatient unit.
  • Current DEA number.
