Key Responsibilities:
As a Lead Nursing Supervisor, you will oversee resident care and nursing operations during your assigned shift. Your duties will include staff management, mentoring, and collaborating with healthcare professionals.

  • Execute daily nursing tasks in compliance with company, state, federal, and local regulations.
  • Manage the admission, transfer, and discharge processes for residents, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Facilitate the orientation of new residents and their families to our facility.
  • Participate in scheduled facility inspections and surveys.
  • Ensure high-quality clinical outcomes and resident satisfaction during your shift.
  • Serve as a resource for all staff regarding service quality.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with facility policies.
  • Effectively manage nursing staff to minimize overtime and reliance on agency personnel.
  • Assess nursing staff performance against unit care standards and objectives.
  • Conduct team huddles to enhance communication and provide updates to the Director of Nursing.
  • Coordinate shift assignments and meal breaks for Certified Nurse's Aides.
  • Collaborate with other departments to deliver timely and effective care tailored to individual needs.
  • Assume administrative responsibilities during weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Remain available beyond scheduled shifts to meet staffing requirements and resident needs.
  • Ensure compliance with the MDS process, reflecting each resident's care plan.
  • Utilize Point Click Care (PCC) according to company procedures.
  • Follow physician orders accurately and promptly.
  • Manage medication supplies in line with company policy.
  • Notify residents' physicians and families of significant health changes.
  • Report incidents and adverse events to the Administrator and Director of Nursing, ensuring thorough documentation and investigation.
  • Address resident and family complaints to achieve resolution.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Company Infection Control Manual.
  • Evaluate care interventions for effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Vocational program and licensed in the state of practice.
  • A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is preferred.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification is required.
