Medical Optics is seeking a skilled Rigid Endoscope Repair Specialist to join our Depot Operations team.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge medical technology and contribute to the success of our company. As a Rigid Endoscope Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for executing daily activities in the service environment, including new orders and re-service of items that have failed in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs of endoscopes in accordance with company and OEM procedures and work instructions.
  • Adhere to established manufacturing and material control policies and procedures in compliance with ISO quality standards.
  • Assist in the modification of detailed work instructions for the manufacturing, assembly and test of Rigid endoscope practices.
  • Assist in the diagnosis and service of repaired endoscopes that have failed in the field.
  • Comply with ISO quality standards including capturing assigned data for analysis and reporting to the customer and suppliers.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of all evaluations, repairs, adjustments, calibrations, etc. performed on all equipment.
  • Adhere to the Company's Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Management System procedures, and all safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist other areas of the service operations on an as-needed basis.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or its equivalent. Associate degree or its equivalent in electronics or equivalent medical device training is preferred.
  • One year of previous assembly or repair experience of rigid endoscopes, is preferred.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude. Ability to quickly pick up new processes with minimal guidance.
  • Demonstrated hand-eye coordination.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness and solid organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, prints, illustrated parts, diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Previous experience working in an environment subject to ISO 13485: 2016 Medical Devices, preferred.
