**Job Summary:**- This is a full-time Physician Assistant position in Vascular Surgery.
**Estimated Salary:** $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.
**Responsibilities:**- Patient Evaluation and Management:
You will be responsible for performing thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests. You will develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients with vascular conditions, collaborating with the vascular surgery team to determine the most appropriate course of treatment.
- Surgical Assistance:
You will assist vascular surgeons in a variety of surgical procedures, including endovascular and open surgeries. Your responsibilities will include preparing and positioning patients for surgery, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques, and monitoring patients closely during procedures.
- Pre- and Post-Operative Care:
You will manage pre-operative preparations, including patient education, consent, and coordination with other healthcare providers. You will provide post-operative care, monitoring patients' recovery, and managing complications as needed. You will also educate patients and their families on post-operative care and rehabilitation.
- Collaboration and Communication:
You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, anesthesiologists, and radiologists, to optimize patient care. You will communicate effectively with patients and their families, addressing questions and providing information about vascular conditions and treatment options.
- Documentation:
You will maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including surgical notes, progress reports, and treatment plans. You will ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational documentation standards.
**Qualifications:**- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Previous experience in vascular surgery or a related field is highly desirable.
