Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain expertise in various oxygen delivery methods and associated equipment, while monitoring for potential side effects
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments, understanding their purpose and potential side effects
  • Set up and oversee mechanical ventilators, including critical care tasks such as airway management and tracheal suctioning
  • Assess patient discomfort that may hinder rehabilitation participation and coordinate with physicians for necessary interventions
  • Perform arterial punctures for blood gas analysis, recognizing possible complications and contraindications
  • Conduct EKGs, prepare report interpretations, and ensure proper documentation according to departmental protocols
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Valid State Respiratory Therapist License
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy
  • Current CPR certification (specify BLS or ACLS)
  • Minimum of three years of comprehensive experience in cardiopulmonary services is highly preferred

Compensation is competitive at $50.00 per hour. While this is the expected pay range, variations may occur based on specific circumstances.
