The Role

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our App Engineering team, where you'll help build and scale the backend services that power our health coaching application. As a key member of our team, you'll develop new backend systems, build new features, and refactor existing systems to ensure seamless data processing and ingestion.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing new backend systems using Go, Typescript, Node, DocumentDB, Argo, Kafka, SQL, and Terraform
  • Building new features, refactoring, and scaling existing backend systems that ingest and process data from mobile devices
  • Maintaining and refactoring legacy systems that use Java, Kotlin, DynamoDB, and Github Actions
  • Defining and reviewing projects by collaborating with other engineering teams, DevOps, and the product team
  • Ensuring high-quality code coverage through automated testing
  • Mentoring junior engineers through regular code review
  • Following and defining coding guidelines to ensure the security and privacy of our user data
What We're Looking For

We're seeking a seasoned software engineer with experience in developing well-tested software with Golang and Typescript with Node. You should have knowledge of AWS technologies, expertise in designing DSLs or APIs, and previous experience in a senior or lead-level software engineering role.

Additionally, you should have experience deploying services with Kubernetes, Docker, and Lambdas, as well as experience with data modeling and performance tuning, data systems, and access. Experience in sprint planning and working with Agile methodologies is also a plus.
