We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Mount Carmel St. Ann's. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly.
- Assist the surgeon and other members of the surgical team during procedures, handling instruments and supplies as needed.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and take initiative to ensure a smooth and efficient procedure.
- Maintain the highest standard of sterile technique during procedures, ensuring the safety of patients and staff.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that all necessary steps are taken to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
- Graduate of a surgical technology program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
- Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Operating Room Technician (CORT).
- Minimum of one year of experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting.
