We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Texas Materials - East Texas Area. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment and machinery
- Conduct visual inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures
- Install and assemble new equipment and machinery according to manufacturer specifications
- Diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic systems
- Perform welding and light fabrication tasks as needed
- Operate heavy construction equipment, including loaders, backhoes, and manlifts
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 7+ years of maintenance experience in heavy equipment preferred
- Thorough knowledge of preventative maintenance inspections and diagnostic techniques
- Ability to operate heavy construction equipment and perform welding and light fabrication tasks
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
