Position Overview
Covenant Preparatory School is seeking a dedicated Science Educator to lead the classroom and curricular elements of our science program. Our educators are integral to the holistic development of our school community, participating actively in advisory roles, extracurricular activities, and service initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruct approximately three STEM-focused classes, maintaining a maximum class size of fifteen students;
- Act as the primary advisor for a small group of students, serving as the first point of contact for families;
- Lead or assist in coaching sports, clubs, and after-school programs;
- Supervise students throughout the school day as part of a faculty rotation;
- Secure appropriate endorsements for transporting students in school vehicles and/or supervising off-campus activities;
- Engage in Summer Academy activities, typically held in July;
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned during the academic year and Summer Academy, which may occur outside of standard hours.
Qualifications
- A strong alignment with the mission of Covenant Preparatory School;
- A bachelor's degree in a STEM-related discipline (teaching certification is not mandatory);
- A readiness to engage in all facets of school life, including athletics, advisory, and other commitments;
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
Compensation is based on educational background and experience. Benefits include health, vision, life, and dental insurance provided by the school, as applicable.
