Job Responsibilities and QualificationsWe are seeking a seasoned RN ready to advance into a nursing leadership role as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) in the Intermediate Care Unit. In this capacity, you will mentor and guide your team to achieve optimal outcomes while delivering direct nursing care to adult patients facing acute illnesses and recovering from various nonsurgical medical and post-surgical conditions.
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused care and oversees all unit functions. Collaborating with the management team, the CNC monitors and assesses nursing care in line with established protocols. The CNC acts as a resource for staff and enhances the patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, assess, customize, and provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Assist with the admission and discharge processes.
- Work alongside subject matter experts and leadership to support improved outcomes and service delivery.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and training to enhance performance and engagement.
- Assist with staff scheduling.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or a Current Multistate Compact License.
- 3+ years of recent nursing experience in an acute care hospital environment preferred.
- 1 year of leadership experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
