Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED is required. ARDMS or ARRT registry is mandatory. If not currently registered, eligibility for registry is required, with a 12-month timeframe from the date of hire to complete the registry.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in Sonography is preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: ARRT RT(S) or ARDMS certification or Board eligibility is required. ARDMS certification must be obtained within the first year of employment.
  • Essential Skills: Proficiency in completing generic and department-specific skills validation and competency assessments; strong communication abilities; capability to work independently in diagnostic settings; familiarity with various ultrasound equipment; adaptability to diverse situations and procedures based on patient age; ability to interpret information to meet each patient's specific care requirements; and basic computer skills.
