Reporting to the Logistics Manager and Yard Site Manager, the Roll-off Driver will be tasked with preparing, loading, unloading, and securing materials at designated locations.
- Key Responsibilities: Operate the vehicle in compliance with Ecology Recycling Services LLC., safety protocols, OSHA regulations, DOT guidelines, and all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
- Conduct pre-and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles.
- Notify dispatch of any unsafe conditions or service-related issues.
- Report service problems, blocked containers, or potential safety hazards.
- Document any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage to dispatch.
- Ensure that equipment is maintained in optimal working condition.
- Perform assigned duties on delivery and hauling routes.
- Communicate customer requests effectively with dispatch.
- Collaborate with management to enhance productivity and performance while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Complete and submit work orders and driver logs as required.
- Valid Class A CDL with no restrictions and DOT Medical Certification.
- A minimum of 3 years of driving experience is required.
- Must possess a clean driving record and experience in CDL truck operations.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos, as well as write correspondence and memos.
- Basic mathematical skills are necessary.
- Problem-solving abilities and creative thinking are essential to meet customer needs.
- Must have good vision and depth perception, with the ability to adjust focus.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions.
- Physically capable of conducting inspections and handling equipment used for inspections.
- Experience operating 53ft trailers, box vans, or flatbeds.
- Familiarity with truck scales and understanding of weight restrictions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
