Job Title: Respiratory Care Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team at St. Luke's Hospital. As a critical care therapist, you will provide respiratory care to patients in designated areas, assess patient conditions, and evaluate diagnostic results. You will also set up and maintain ventilator support, perform diagnostic studies, and consult with physicians regarding therapy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory care to adult and pediatric patients in critical care areas.
  • Evaluate patient conditions and assess the need for respiratory therapy.
  • Set up and maintain ventilator support according to physician orders.
  • Perform diagnostic studies, such as arterial blood gas analysis and oximetry.
  • Consult with physicians regarding appropriate therapy and document patient assessments and findings.


Requirements:
  • Certification as a Respiratory Therapist (NBRC)
  • Minimum of 6 months clinical experience
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support within one year of hire
