Resident Care Aide Opportunity

The Arbors at Amherst is a family-owned and operated Assisted Living Community located on University Drive in Amherst. We are seeking a dedicated Resident Care Aide to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care services for residents in a professional, caring, and efficient manner, adhering to state guidelines.
  • Document all care appropriately and review shift change logs at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Assess capabilities to determine needs for additional assistance and report any changes in the resident's condition or needs to a licensed nurse.
  • Perform dining room duties and assist with the serving of residents.
  • Complete all required annual in-service training and adhere to OSHA regulations and safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • Must be currently certified as a nursing assistant or have successfully completed the certified home health aide program.
  • Must understand the physical and emotional needs of elders, enjoy working with them, and show understanding and patience.
