Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Wexford Health Sources. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from inmates within the facility as ordered by a physician. You will interact with various healthcare professionals and security staff in a correctional environment, utilizing electronic medical records and maintaining accurate records of test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples from inmates as ordered by a physician
  • Prepare and protect specimens, handling any complications that may arise
  • Maintain proper records of test results and complete required reports
  • Use good organizational skills to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Handle a multitude of personalities and maintain a professional demeanor
  • Check paperwork for completeness and accuracy of information
  • Keep lab logs, reference materials, and other important data up to date
Requirements
  • Specialized phlebotomy training
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
