Phlebotomy Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Wexford Health Sources. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from inmates within the facility as ordered by a physician. You will interact with various healthcare professionals and security staff in a correctional environment, utilizing electronic medical records and maintaining accurate records of test results.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood samples from inmates as ordered by a physician
- Prepare and protect specimens, handling any complications that may arise
- Maintain proper records of test results and complete required reports
- Use good organizational skills to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Handle a multitude of personalities and maintain a professional demeanor
- Check paperwork for completeness and accuracy of information
- Keep lab logs, reference materials, and other important data up to date
- Specialized phlebotomy training
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
