Position Overview

This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in an oncology setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient care and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements
  • Valid RN license in the state of practice
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
  • Certification in chemotherapy administration and oncology experience
  • Current BLS certification
  • ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Additional Information
  • Must be willing to take on charge nurse responsibilities
  • Required to manage medication drips
  • Floating to other medical-surgical units may be necessary
  • Charting System: Cerner

Patient Care Details:

  • Typical nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:5, 1:3-4 for chemotherapy administration
  • Common patient diagnoses include oncology-related conditions such as leukemia, lymphoma, and pancreatic cancer.
