Job Overview

Cultivate Churches Ministry is seeking a dedicated Culinary Assistant to join our team at Camp Harvest. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our kitchen facilities, providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Wash and clean dishes, utensils, and equipment, ensuring they are available for use
  • Restock supplies and reset serving areas to ensure seamless service
  • Clean appliances, machines, and floors to maintain a safe working environment
  • Unload deliveries and store them properly
  • Dispose of trash and rinse garbage cans
  • Educate staff on food safety procedures and report any incidents or violations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Cook

Requirements:

  • Work permit required for applicants under 18 years old (for those without a high school diploma)
  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or restaurant setting preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food safety codes and procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team
  • Strong physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings
