About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Claim Professional to join our team in London, Manchester, or Redhill. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for managing and handling complex claims arising from our assigned lines of business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and handle a diverse portfolio of complex and often large claims.
  • Provide market-leading expert claim handling, ensuring adherence to our policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Underwriting and Actuarial partners on portfolio, risk mitigation, policy language, and claim trends.
  • Partner with Underwriting to sell and market business and strengthen external client relationships.
  • Open new claims and set reserves, conduct early investigations, and provide legal assistance as necessary.
  • Negotiate settlement of claims and communicate promptly on cover.
  • Maintain a close working liaison with underwriters and risk management, promoting the interests of Travelers.
  • Attend to insureds and brokers, promoting the values of the department and the company.
  • Work as a team member, providing support as required, and fully participating in individual and shared project work.
Requirements
  • Significant experience and sound judgment handling claims within assigned lines of business.
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
  • Lloyds and/or London market experience preferred.
  • Strong technical background and expertise with a proven track record to manage complex claims, key client accounts, addressing trends and issues affecting their business, and mitigating risks and exposures.
  • Product expertise within the particular lines of business assigned preferred.
