Strategic Analyst for Air Force Futures

Axient LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Management Analyst to support the development of strategic capabilities for the U.S. Air Force.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in research and analysis, with a strong background in military intelligence and assessment. A Ph.D. in a relevant field such as Asian Studies, Organizational Analysis, or Strategic Studies is required.

The Senior Management Analyst will be responsible for providing analytic decision support to senior Air Force leaders, developing strategy, and conducting operational challenge studies. The candidate will also support the development of transformational strategic capabilities, reforming the way science and technology is led and managed, and deepening and expanding the scientific and technical enterprise.

The successful candidate will have strong writing skills, with a minimum of 3 published works in peer-reviewed journals and/or university press books. They will also have documented experience with military intelligence and assessment as related to strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-level analysis in support of department decision making on strategic priorities.
  • Write research briefs and white papers.
  • Present data to internal and external constituents.
  • Support development and continual tracking of core assumptions impacting strategic objectives.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on reports and data prepared for internal and external dissemination.

Requirements:

  • Over 10 years of related experience in research and analysis.
  • Ph.D. in one of the following fields: Asian Studies, Organizational Analysis, Strategic Studies, Russian Studies, Intelligence Studies, International Relations, Military History, or an approved national security related field.
  • Documented experience with military intelligence and assessment as related to strategic decision-making.
  • Strong writing skills, with a minimum of 3 published works in peer-reviewed journals and/or university press books.
