About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Child Development Specialist to join our team at the Kennedy-Donovan Center. As a Child Development Specialist, you will work closely with families to provide support and education to help them meet their child's individual needs.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in counseling psychology, clinical psychology, developmental psychology, or educational psychology, and current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

Responsibilities
  • Partner with families to identify each child's strengths and developmental needs
  • Develop an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) together with families
  • Work closely with a transdisciplinary team on program planning and delivery of services
  • Oversee case management and referral services to assigned caseload
  • Conduct home visits to provide developmental stimulation, parent training, and support
  • Facilitate parent/child and/or child groups
  • Complete reports of assessments, progress reports, IFSPs, and discharge summaries
