The Mammography Technologist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality breast imaging services. This position is dedicated to performing mammography examinations in accordance with the standards set by the ACR.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Mammography Examinations: Conduct diagnostic and screening mammographic procedures for adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients efficiently and professionally.
- Assist in Advanced Procedures: Support breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy, and other radiologic guided interventions within the Breast Center.
- Patient Care: Provide individualized care by identifying patient needs and adapting procedures accordingly, ensuring a compassionate approach to all patients.
- Quality Control: Participate in quality assurance activities, including documenting quality control measures and maintaining compliance with ACR, MQSA, NJ State, and FDA regulations.
- Documentation: Accurately complete patient requisitions and maintain detailed records of procedures and patient interactions.
- Education and Support: Offer patient education regarding breast self-examinations and pre/post-procedure instructions, ensuring patients are well-informed.
Applicants should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Licensed Mammography Technologist, demonstrating expertise in the field.
