Job Summary

The Network Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of server and infrastructure systems in our data center. This role requires a strong understanding of network protocols and services, as well as experience with server and storage hardware management. The ideal candidate will have a background in computer science and a strong team-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

⁠ Analyze and research network and computer system configurations
⁠ Install and maintain network and computer systems
⁠ Troubleshoot hardware and infrastructure issues
⁠ Collaborate with OEMs on server repair and warranty services
⁠ Escort visitors within the data center
⁠ Interface with electrical and infrastructure vendors for routine maintenance visits
⁠ Order supplies for data center stock and upcoming projects

Requirements

⁠ 3+ years' experience in data center network operations and infrastructure engineering
⁠ 3+ years' experience in server and storage hardware management
⁠ Experience with cabling systems (UTP, Optical Fiber)
⁠ 3+ years' hands-on experience with server repair and warranty parts service
⁠ Experience with protocols and services based on TCP/IP
⁠ Experience with routers and switches
⁠ Ability to work well within a team
⁠ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

The Network Infrastructure Specialist will be required to sit, stand, reach, walk, twist, and kneel to perform the essential functions of the job. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment with occasional travel to various locations. All information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
