Job Summary:

As a Lead Operations Specialist at Vulcan Materials, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities. This position requires a strong focus on safety, training, and communication. You will be responsible for conducting site-specific training for employees, vendors, and other personnel, as well as enforcing company and regulatory policies, rules, and regulations. Additionally, you will assist with various tasks, such as financial reports, payroll, and procurement activities. Key Responsibilities:

Champion Safety: Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
Conduct Training: Conduct site-specific training for employees, vendors, or other persons at the facility.
Communicate and Coordinate: Communicate with employees regarding work assignments and correcting problems. Assist in troubleshooting production issues.
Assist with Various Tasks: Work through various assignments, such as assisting with financial reports, payroll, or procurement activities.

Requirements:

Must exhibit high levels of competency, skill, and proficiency in daily mining operations.
Must be able to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
Must have a valid driver's license and have excellent driving skills.
