Assistant Principal

The Sahuarita Unified School District is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Principal to join our team at Sahuarita High School. As a key member of the school's administrative team, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Principal in the administration of the school, supervising student activities, and providing guidance and support to students, teachers, and staff.

• Assist the Principal in the planning and supervision of school student activity programs
• Provide individual and group guidance for personal, educational, and vocational objectives
• Discipline students in cases of attendance and behavior problems
• Supervise students and maintain records of attendance
• Assist with the organization and administration of in-service teacher training
• Develop and implement the curriculum in conjunction with the administrative team
• Represent the school to the community and develop relationships with other principals and directors

• Master's degree in Education and/or Educational Leadership from an accredited four-year college or university
• Valid Arizona Administrative certificate
• Considerable knowledge of curriculum and instruction principles and practices
• Ability to interpret laws, policies, and guidelines relating to education and state standards
• Ability to work with a diverse student population, including those with special needs

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with frequent availability outside of normal school hours. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and to maintain confidentiality is essential.
