Job OverviewAbel Personnel is seeking a highly skilled Associate Attorney to join their team in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. As a key member of the firm's healthcare and litigation practices, you will work closely with senior attorneys and clients to provide exceptional legal services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including complaints, petitions, motions, briefs, and discovery responses.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and depositions.
- Provide guidance on healthcare collections, including creditor rights and estate and bankruptcy matters.
- Collaborate with clients to develop effective collection strategies and pursue guardianship for residents of long-term living communities.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in law affecting the firm's clients and analyze complex legal issues related to estates and trusts.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in Pennsylvania, with preference given to admission in multiple mid-Atlantic jurisdictions.
- 2-5 years of experience in litigation, with experience in healthcare collections and regulatory matters a plus.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients.
