Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute diverse tasks related to the HVAC sheet metal trade, both in the field and workshop.
  • Install, renovate, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC air distribution systems.
  • Plan and organize materials and workforce requirements for projects.
  • Apply knowledge of field and shop equipment to ensure job completion.
  • Design ductwork layouts, including fittings and specialty items, in accordance with project specifications.
  • Collaborate with other trades to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
  • Adhere to safety practices and comply with all safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Sheet Metal Apprenticeship Program is preferred.
  • A minimum of four years of hands-on experience in HVAC sheet metal fabrication, either in a shop or field setting.
  • Proficient in basic mathematics and geometry.
  • Strong understanding of occupational hazards and safety precautions relevant to the trade and construction environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings, including architectural, structural, and mechanical plans.
  • Skilled in the use and maintenance of tools and equipment specific to the sheet metal trade.
  • Experience in providing on-the-job training to apprentices.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks that include standing, climbing, lifting weights of 50 lbs. or more, and various movements such as kneeling and twisting.
