Job Description:

Nurses 24/7 is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team on a local contract basis. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their newborns.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized care to patients in the labor and delivery unit
  • Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in emergency situations, such as cesarean sections and postpartum hemorrhages

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum of one year of current experience as an R.N. in Labor and Delivery
  • Current active Registered Nurse license in the state of assignment without disciplinary action
  • Maintain current AHA BLS (ACLS, NRP, PALS if applicable)
  • Pass all prerequisite screening requirements (testing, medical and criminal, etc.)
