Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our Real Estate practice at RSM. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance to clients on complex tax matters related to real estate private equity funds and REITs.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide detailed review and analysis of complex partnership returns for real estate clients
- Serve as a Career Advisor and mentor to junior staff members
- Train and develop staff members on tax compliance and consulting services
- Work closely with clients to answer questions and collect necessary information for tax service requirements
- Advise clients on a full spectrum of corporate tax services, including planning, research, compliance, and mergers and acquisitions activities
- Manage corporate client needs with respect to tax services and federal and state tax compliance
- Stay up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
- 5+ years of experience in business taxation working for a Big 4 or a large national, regional, or local accounting firm
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Active CPA, Enrolled Agent, or Licensed JD
- Prior tax compliance and consulting experience serving real estate private equity clients and REITs
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance
- Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, industry specialization a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience preparing or reviewing accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740
- Experience in dealing with international tax matters a plus
