Our Lehigh Valley Division is actively seeking a Route Supervisor to enhance our operations. We are in search of a leader who is prepared to elevate their team and cultivate the next generation of leaders at J.P. Mascaro & Sons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Distribute daily workforce and equipment for designated areas to ensure optimal service, efficiency, and safety.
  • Guarantee that all clients receive the highest level of service by coordinating with customers, municipalities, and ensuring compliance with contracts, as well as Code, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
    • This may involve operating waste collection vehicles or using a pickup truck to address service gaps or cover routes when necessary.
  • Provide training and ongoing development for all assigned personnel in proper service delivery, equipment handling, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Assess and maintain route efficiency, reassessing routes as necessary and redistributing workloads to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of all incidents and injuries to identify root causes and implement consistent corrective actions and retraining.
  • Review daily documentation such as vehicle condition reports, driver logs, and pre & post-trip inspections, following up as required.
  • Evaluate neighborhoods and client interactions to address safety concerns.
  • Establish and maintain regular communication with employees to motivate them and understand their career aspirations.
  • Promote a culture of trust and open dialogue within the team.
  • Engage in special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License (Class B or A).
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of prior leadership experience.
  • Ability to frequently lift over 50 lbs.
  • Strong work ethic with the capability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly organized and motivated to achieve success, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the waste management, transportation, or manufacturing sectors.
