This is a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of developers at Leidos, where you will have the chance to design, develop, and maintain advanced systems and cloud environments. As a Marklogic Developer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing solutions that integrate Marklogic with enterprise platforms.
  • Developing XQuery, JavaScript, and REST modules within the Marklogic technology stack.
  • Creating Entity models and developing Marklogic Entity Models.
  • Engaging in innovative programming initiatives using various languages and technologies.
  • Directing software system validation and testing efforts using tools like Junit and Katalon.
  • Integrating custom software solutions with automated deployment technologies.
  • Prototyping and deploying solutions on Commercial Cloud Solutions utilizing Infrastructure platform services.
  • Working closely with team members, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to ensure alignment of User Stories with customer use cases.
  • Analyzing and coordinating infrastructure needs derived from developed software to meet customer missions.
  • Adhering to Agile software development practices, specifically following Program SAFe methodologies.
  • Utilizing top-tier DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and Unix bash scripting.
  • Documenting software development processes, including deployment of build artifacts across environments using GitFlow.
  • Communicating project updates effectively to foster team collaboration.
  • Leveraging Atlassian tools like JIRA and Confluence for activity tracking.
  • Applying and recommending best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Creating innovative solutions tailored to customer technical needs.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on application development experience with the Marklogic framework.
  • Advanced analytical and design skills, able to translate business requirements into efficient and effective technical designs for enterprise environments.
  • Extensive experience in developing service-oriented architecture applications.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Design Patterns.
  • Experience implementing the Marklogic java-client-api in enterprise applications.
  • Proficient in XQuery, FLWOR queries, JavaScript, Marklogic, SPARQL, RDF data, XML Data, and triple-stores.
  • Experience with developing Marklogic Entity Models and building Marklogic data hubs.
  • Comfortable with Unix/Shell scripting.
  • Strong background in Java, data processing, manipulation, or querying (SQL or NoSQL).
  • Thorough understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Proficient in the software development lifecycle, with experience delivering projects using DevOps practices.
  • Experience using software testing performance tools like Junit.
  • Proficient in scripting languages like Python and Bash.
  • Familiar with commercial cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and their data services (e.g., S3, RDS, EFS).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or a Master's with 6-10 years of relevant experience. Will consider equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.

Pay Information

The estimated salary range for this position is $104,650 - $189,175 per year, based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, and location.
